I have the honour to enclose a letter dated
18th. April from the Local Auditor in which he recommends that certain gratuities should be granted to members of his staff for the extra work which they have been called upon to perform in con- -sequence of the absence on leave of Ir. R. F. Brayn, Assistant
Auditor.

I am of opinion that a case has been made out for some extra remuneration and that the amounts suggested in each case are reasonable. I therefore submit the matter for your favour-
